The core mission of the Honorary Consulate is to:

  • enhance the Bilateral Relations between Mauritius and Karachi
  • promote the welfare of and provide consular services to the Mauritian community living in Karachi
  • foster trade and investment as well as tourism between Mauritius and Karachi
  • facilitate cultural, commercial, educational, social, scientific and sports exchanges between Mauritius and Karachi
  • provide information on passport, visas and other issues of interest based on current regulations

Consular Services

The Mauritius High Commission in Islamabad offers general consular services to the public - including the issuance of visas for Mauritius, the processing of applications for Mauritius passports/travel documents, providing assistance to Mauritian students in general as well as for the extension of their student visas, and providing consular advice/assistance to Mauritian nationals in Pakistan.

Visa

The documents required for the processing of a visa application(the forms are downloadable from the website http://passport.govmu.org) are:

  1. Passport(valid for at least six months)
  2. Confirmed return ticket
  3. Confirmed hotel reservation
  4. Two passport-sized photographs
  5. Recent Bank statement along with account maintenance letter
  6. Copy of National Identity Card
  7. Demand Draft for Rs. 850.00 payable in Islamabad to the Mauritius High Commission

Please also note that the visa processing time is two to three working days
